Who is They
When searching for answers or reasons things seem so out of control, it is easy to generalize, to scapegoat, to make assumptions and to blame anomalous entities.
I do it all the time. "They slander Trump with impunity".
Just look at podcasts, blogs and the news, it doesn't matter who is lambasting who, you will see most discussions about economics, social unrest, political intrigue, all blame 'They'.
I think it is because we want to simplify conflict. We want to illustrate the contrasts, the opposing nature of our cultural divisions. We don't always want to personalize those parties because they straddle large groups and populations and they are not homogenized in their beliefs, either. So, we tend to go with the binary approach, it's Us versus Them, Good versus Evil, Christian versus Muslim, Liberal versus Conservative, etc...
But there are some forces lurking in the background, under the radar, that exert enormous power on daily events, worldwide. 'They' are no one person, one dictator or crackpot. They are not a political force, rather a financial force. Sometimes it is correct to "follow the money" because "money makes the world go round".
Working Joe rarely pays any attention to those powerful forces. He is too busy trying to make his mortgage payment. Trying to save enough to put his kids through college, to put away some money for old age.
But the truth is, he is financing financial powerhouses every day. Because 'they' own his mortgage lender, his insurance company, his bank, and 'they' fund the research programs that build new laboratories and buildings at those colleges and universities he wants to send his kids to. 'They' operate giant holding companies that control the stock of major manufacturers, pharmaceutical makers, hospital systems and networks.
'They' sit on the boards of directors that operate most of the large media networks all around the globe.
It gets really scary when you study just how much power and influence 'they' have on communications, international trade and shipping, and which major weapons manufacturers get the big government defense contracts.
I am referring to investment giants like BlackRock, which owns 30% of CNN, and major stakes in MicroSoft, Apple and Amazon. Another unheralded company, Official Institutions Group, works closely with sovereign wealth funds, central banks and other multilateral organizations as advisories to other investment platforms.
I use BlackRock as an example because it is one of the bigger holding companies, but there are many others. And many have grown huge because they decided decades ago to pursue the Chinese juggernaut. By investing heavily in Chinese manufacturing and their cheap labor force, they have, as Consumers Research noted,
"…turned a blind eye to the CCP's malign behavior, and worse, sending American pensions to China to support it."
The whole scheme is a workaround of US investment law. American citizens cannot directly own shares of Chinese firms, But BlackRock, with the explicit approval of Chinese Premier Xi Xiping, set up offshore shell companies that they can use to indirectly trade in Chinese stocks.
As of March 2022, BlackRock was the world's largest mutual fund company, with $10 trillion US dollars in assets under management. They are closely followed by Vanguard Group with $8 trillion, and Charles Schwab with $7 trillion in their portfolio. These management platforms know a good thing when they see it, so they invest in each other, too.
Overall, only a few dozen investment management companies hold the most combined assets and essentially own the world. People are only vaguely aware that the world is controlled by a handful of financial organizations exerting dominion over empires of financial leverage. And among those companies, only a few powerful families maintain control by shielding their true identities with layers and layers of tricky legal organizational constructions and distractions.
Now you know why all of the major news platforms, political action groups, and corporate CEOs speak in near identical phraseology about disruptors like Trump being a "threat to democracy". It isn't democracy they are worried about losing, it is their near monopoly on financial channels around the world. It is their current ability to flaunt financial and political regulations, and to keep the chattel, the voters, in line. 'They' have the power to do it, and they know it.
The question is how do they maintain total control without waking up those they control? If you look closely at who owns the world, it reveals a convoluted trail of management fiduciaries who cross breed for purposes of avoiding exposure, and who have no shame about flouting rules and regulations so they can increase their bottom line and their influence.
When I refer to "They' in my essays, it is that widespread financial persona, the bought and paid for employees and their dependent subcontractors in transnational business, in banking and the media that are subscribing to the GroupThink machine.
We may not be able to personalize the threat to our freedom and sovereignty, but we can build a wall to slow it down, to give us a perch from which we can defend our castle of liberty. Like the Alamo, it doesn't look good right now. We can see more of them than of us. But part of that is illusion superimposed on us by the ubiquitous FrankenMedia. Which casts an enormous shadow across the planet, blocking the sunlight that is needed to grow awareness.
It is imperative we grow the alternative forms of media, of communication, and purge the educational establishment of fervent communists. The controversial Second Red Scare, better known as McCarthyism, that dominated the news in the late 40's and early 50's, if left unimpeded, might have permanently derailed the communist infiltration of Hollywood and eventually of our institutions of higher learning, and avoided the mess we find ourselves in today. But McCarthy was successfully drummed into history using the same sort of mischaracterizations, of cancellation techniques and of fear mongering we see today.
Those who fought vehemently against the McCartyites, who perhaps saw themselves as nothing more than patriotic liberals, have now, decades later, morphed into the Progressive Cabal rampaging across the globe, claiming to be the protectors of "Our Democracy". 'They' are the useful idiots that are certain they are fighting for a righteous cause, only to find out too late, they are ultimately the victims of that cause.
'They' are the folks protesting against Israel's war on Hamas, claiming Jews are conducting genocide on Muslims. Amongst those same protestors are LGBTQ people, who, were they living anywhere other than America, might find themselves being tossed off a rooftop by Hamas.
'They' are Black Lives Matters groupies that are the same demographic most damaged by open borders policies that give job preferences to mostly uneducated, unvetted, illegal immigrants.
'They' are the Occupy Wall Street fools that desecrate statues and trash commercial districts, then complain that Big Business is destroying the environment.
'They' are the high school district board members that have openly declared, "Parents are not properly prepared" to make decisions on school curricula. 'They' consider it homophobic to exclude books illustrating how-to-perform homosexual sex acts from school libraries,
'They' are openly hostile to police. They consider any police enforcement of petty theft laws "racist" and unjust. They lobby for "no bail" policies for most misdemeanor violations and even some "victimless" felonies like drug possession and sexual oriented violations like prostitution and domestic abuse.
The list goes on and on…that is why it is impossible to put 'They' into any one category or profile. You must recognize the common denominator: 'They' don't align with most people’s idea of civility, community, inclusiveness or rationality. 'They' will claim to be simply liberalists, who want to "live and let live", but that ignores the victims of their carefree and irresponsible behaviors.
Living in a free country doesn't mean living in a "free from consequences" country. Quite the opposite, it REQUIRES a heightened sense of responsibility, of sense of ownership and a clear and present determination to protect our families, our community and our sovereignty. "They" will categorize us, in a pejorative way, as Nationalists and White Supremacists, to redirect public opinion and to rationalize their stupid, counterintuitive policies.
"They" must be stopped, or the impact of their collective arrogance will impose all out chaos on America.
